Volunteer Activities

No matter what your skills are or how much time you have, there’s an area where you can help. Some volunteers work directly with families during food distribution, some help with donation rescue, and others support the pantry through office work or committees. Every role supports our mission, and every volunteer makes a real difference

  • We partner with generous local businesses to keep our shelves stocked. Help us with our regular trips in the food rescue truck to pick up food donations and deliver them safely to the pantry.

  • Our pantry is open five days a week. Volunteers greet clients, take food orders, and pack boxes to ensure every family gets what they need.

  • Help us stay organized by filing paperwork, managing supplies, updating digital records, coordinating volunteer schedules, and assisting with reporting.

  • A clean environment is vital for food safety. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, defrosting freezers, cleaning refrigerators, sorting fresh produce, and occasional property maintenance activities.

  • Participate in fundraising, donor acknowledgements, and food drive events throughout our community.

  • We are building a new home! We need people with experience in planning, design, construction and project management to work with funders, governmental agencies, and our selected team of experts during design and construction of the new building.

  • Use your research, writing and/or editing skills to help secure the funding necessary for our daily operations and special long-term projects.

  • Keep the pantry running smoothly by maintaining stock levels and assisting with special organizational projects.

  • Provide high-level guidance, strategic planning, and oversight to ensure the pantry’s long-term success.
