Eligibility Requirements
If you meet the requirements described on this page, you are eligible to receive a monthly food box from the East Mountain Food Pantry.
If you receive SNAP benefits, you automatically qualify, regardless of income. You may stop by the pantry any time we are open, complete the required paperwork, and begin receiving your monthly box.
The Area We Serve
The East Mountain Food Pantry serves households who live within our service area:
West boundary: Carnuel
East boundary: Moriarty area
North boundary: Golden
South boundary: Mountainair
These communities include, but are not limited to:
Carnuel • Cedar Crest • Cedar Grove • Chilili • Edgewood • Estancia • Galisteo • Golden • McIntosh • Monzano • Moriarty • Mountainair • Sandia Park • Tijeras • Torreon • Willard • Yrissari
*We currently do not serve Albuquerque
Income Eligibility
The East Mountain Food Pantry participates in the USDA TEFAP program, which requires income eligibility based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The following table reflects the 2026 TEFAP Income Eligibility Guidelines for the 48 contiguous states, including New Mexico.
